There is a lot to see and do in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, but
traffic can be heavy at times and this could discourage people from coming
to the Smokies or enjoying all that the area offers. But there is a convenient
and inexpensive solution to getting around in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and
Sevierville, and that is the area’s Trolley System, The Fun Time Trolley Service.

The Fun Time Trolley Service in Pigeon Forge started in 1986 and now serves
the entire Parkway from the Sevierville Convention Center and Wilderness Hotel in
Sevierville, through Pigeon Forge, and all the way to Stoplight #10 in
Gatlinburg. There are convenient, covered Trolley Stops all along the Parkway, over 100 stops
and seven major routes to serve the visitors and locals alike. Each route costs
either fifty or seventy-five cents to ride, or you can get a All Day Pass for
$2.50. You can save gas, eliminate the hassle of driving and finding a parking
space, and see the sights when you ride the Trolley.

The Trolley runs daily from 8:00am to Midnight from early March through October, and 10:00am to 10:00pm November and December. There is no service on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

The Trolleys are lift-equipped for wheelchairs and/or other mobility aids,
and a Para-transit van can be scheduled by making a reservation through the
Trolley office at 865-453-6444. This is an origin to destination service for the mobility impaired resident or visitor staying anywhere within the city limits of Pigeon Forge or anywhere within 3/4 of a mile of any Fun Time Trolley route. The fare is $1.00 per person each way.

The slogan of the Trolley Service is “Park your cares and ride with the Bears!”, so take their advice and enjoy the sights of the Smoky Mountains, Smoky Mountain Shopping and Smoky Mountain Attractions while the Trolley drivers do the driving. For more information on the Trolley Service call 865-453-6444.
