The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, is the perfect place to pet, hug, rub, stroke, feed and kiss barnyard and domesticated animals.

This is a special kind of petting zoo that will be fun for kids and older kids as you walk among, and even feed, the beautiful and well-cared for animals at the Deer Farm. There are Rocky Mountain Elk, baby goats, a camel, zebra, emu, kangaroo and pot-bellied pigs! Pet a horse, from a small AMHA registered mini-horse, to a large-but gentle-draft horse, and do the same with a reindeer, mini-monkeys, and the exotic Watusi cattle.

You will enjoy walking around the well-kept grounds of the Petting Zoo and you won’t be able to keep you hands off of the well-roomed and healthy and loving animals, and the full-time zookeeper staff will be glad to answer any questions. All animals get regular veterinary inspections and the Zoo is USDA and AAA approved, and hand-washing facilites are available for you and your family.

Elk calves and fawns are born from late May through July so there will be plenty of newborns available for all to enjoy. And in August and September, the antlers grow-out on the adult deer and elk, which is quite a site to see.
