The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm Exotic Petting Zoo is a wonderful place to re-connect with nature and enjoy an unforgettable experience with some of nature’s most graceful and adorable creatures. At the Deer Farm you can walk among the animals and pet and hand-feed these loving animals.
At the Deer Farm you can hug a baby goat, scratch a Vietnamese Pot-bellied pig, kiss a kangaroo, stroke an emu, pet zebras and zonkies, rub a camel and get up close to a Rocky Mountain elk. All of the animals have regular veterinarian inspections and the grounds are well-kept and there are hand washing facilities inside and outside.
Anytime of year is a good time to visit the Deer Farm but if you go from late May through July you may see baby elk and fawn being born or newborn.
You can watch the antlers grow through the summer and in the fall you can see full racks through March of the following year.
The Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and Exotic Petting Zoo is located off of Dolly Parton Parkway, Highway 411 about 5 miles west of Veterans Boulevard.
