You get in your coaster, hands on the brake handles, eager with anticipation for the thrill ahead. You ride up the hill in a steady ascent admiring the scenery while wondering about the downhill drop ahead. Then you reach the top and for a moment you seem to be weightless and motionless, then gravity and the rails take over and now you RIDE THE HILL AND FEEL THE THRILL!!

DSCN1025 - SMOKY MOUNTAIN ALPINE COASTER, PIGEON FORGE'S NEWEST ATTRACTION! Your coaster takes on speed as you roll down the tracks, rolling at a safe, yet exhilarating speed. You control the speed of your coaster as you shoot downhill taking the curves and the straight-a-ways with the skill of a NASCAR driver – or so it seems. This is the longest downhill ride in the United States as you travel over a mile, then arrive safely at the bottom of the track with a certain sense of pride, accomplishment and certainly pure joy as you have taken on the hill and conquered it!

That’s the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster experience and it awaits you on Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge. It’s and easy place to find. From the Parkway you turn at stoplight # 3 onto Wears Valley Road/Highway 321 and go about a mile-and-a-half and you will see the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster on your left. It’s an fair ticket price to enjoy the ride and you may want to purchase a package deal because you ARE going to want to go again and again.
