Sawyer Brown is the headliner for the July 5th Celebrity Series Concert at the Country Tonite Theater in Pigeon Forge, TN. Sawyer Brown is an American country music band founded in 1981 in Apopka, Florida, by five members of country pop singer Don King’s Don King’s road band: Bobby Randall and Jim Scholten, both from Midland, Michigan, Joe Smyth, Gregg “Hobie” Hubbard, and Mark Miller. After King retired in 1981, the five members decided to form a band, first choosing the name Savanna before switching to Sawyer Brown, also the name of a road near where they practiced.

Their live shows – over 4,000 (and counting!) – are legendary for the excitement, energy and emotion they generate. Herein lies the secret of the band’s youthful longevity. Some of Sawyer Brown’s hits include “Step That Step”, “Betty’s Bein’ Bad”, “Some Girls Do”, “Thank God for You”, and “The Dirt Road”. Country Tonite is a wonderful venue for live concerts with great acoustics, seating, lighting and sound.

Sawyer Brown headlines on Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Country Tonite Celebrity Series, Pigeon Forge, TN, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
