One of man’s greatest desires is to fly – to leave Mother Earth and rise into the sky with the grace of a bird. Now you can do it at the Flyaway Indoor Skydiving attraction on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Flyaway is America’s first vertical wind tunnel and here you can learn the skills of human flight and break the bond of gravity. Anyone who wants to learn will attend a 20-minute training class. Here you learn body control
techniques and safety procedures. Every flyer is equipped with a helmet and a flying suit, then you enter the wind tunnel
with an instructor. They will remind you of the flying procedures, set you up, then release you into the updraft of air and you are flying!!
Classes and Flying takes place every half-hour during business hours. Certain height and weight guidelines apply and participants need to be in good physical shape with no previous back or shoulder problems.
Young people under 18 must be accompanied in the class by a parent or guardian at least 21 years old. Small children must weigh at least 40 pounds and be mature enough to pay attention to the instructor and follow all instructions.
