One of the first wondrous sites you see when you drive into Pigeon Forge is the wonderful upside-down house that is WonderWorks. This is the start of you wild and wacky journey into the world that is WonderWorks. A world that will test your senses, free your imagination and delight the child that is in all of us. It is a fun and liberating experience!
WonderWorks is an amusement park for the mind that offers over 100 hands on edu-tainment exhibits that “challenge the mind and spark the imagination”. It was once a top secret lab situated in the Bermuda Triangle, but an experiment gone wrong blew it into Pigeon Forge where it landed on its roof. Luckily, no one was hurt and all of the experiements and exhibits remained intact for visitors to share, enjoy and discover.
There are dozens of Wonder Zones to explore. ‘The Imagination Lab’ offers a giant version of the ‘Lite-Brite’ game, the multiplayer ‘Alien Stomp’ game, and the ‘Fun Express’ and ‘Gear Works’, especially for the little ones. The ‘Light and Sound Zone’ allows you to test your reflexes at ‘Speed of Light’, to bust some moves and shadows at ‘Recollections’ and ‘Strike a Pose’, and play the “king of the Instruments’ giant piano.
For those who want a more physical experience, you can test your climbing skills in the ‘Indoor Ropes Challenge’ or the black light ‘Lazer Tag Arena’ or play in the ‘Virtual Army Experience’, ‘Virtual Sports’ or ride the ‘Extreme 360 Bikes’. With all of these activities you have touched less than half of the activities of WonderWorks. Plan to spend the day.
Once you have tested yourself then enjoy the “best magic show in Pigeon Forge”, the ‘Wonders of Magic’ starring Terry Evanswood. Terry will entertain and amaze you with jaw-dropping stunts of magic and misdirection and leave you and your family asking each other “how did he do that?”
