Get into the spirit of Christmas in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The area is decorated with hundreds of lighted, holiday-themed displays, and most of the live theaters present Christmas shows. Here are the theaters and a little twinkle of each show. The Smoky Mountain Opry goes all out with “Christmas at the Smoky Mountain Opry”. There are dancing elves, enchanted reindeer, soaring angels, flying sugar plum fairies, and a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, highlighted in the area’s largest living nativity. And in the mornings, Charlie Bob Smith will spread the spirit of Christmas with Gospel and Christmas songs, mornings at the Smith Family Variety Show.

On the comedic side of the holiday coin, The Comedy Barn Theater offers their traditional laughs and slapstick humor, but adds a twisted touch of the holidays with Christmas music, costumes and acts, promising to give you the gift of laughter. The magic of Christmas abounds at Country Tonite Theatre with favorite country Christmas songs, beautiful choreography and colorful costumes. Don’t be surprised if you see Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus!The Grand Majestic Theater presents two Christmas shows. Hit Parade transforms into ‘Tis the Season’ with the second half solely dedicated to Christmas, and the Dukes lead a Christmas sing-a-long at the Hazzard County Hoedown.

The Starlight Theater will add Christmas songs to both the Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons show and In The Groove.
