SMOKY MOUNTAIN ATTRACTIONS-OPEN ALL YEAR!

When you are coming to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee you will find plenty of Outdoor Activities during the winter months of January, February and into March, giving you another reason to visit the Smokies! There are Pigeon Forge Outdoor Activities, Gatlinburg Outdoor Activities and Sevierville and Sevier County Outdoor Activities. If you want to get off the ground, you can take to the air outdoors in a number of ways. Wahoo Ziplines will he you zipping flying and soaring through a canopy trees, and Jayell Ranch not only offers ziplining, but also ATV rides and horseback riding. They are open 7 days a week. Foxfire Mountain Adventures will take you ziplining, on a Bear Crawler Adventure, or across the Bridge to Prosperity, one of the longest swinging bridges in the U.S.

More airborne activities include a trip up the mountainside on the Gatlinburg Skylift, helicopter tours of the Smoky Mountains and the surrounding area with Scenic Helicopter Tours or Sevier County Choppers. A balloon ride will take you 400′ over Pigeon Forge at the Wonders of Flight Balloon Ride located behind WonderWorks.

There are more ATV Activities. You can traverse 6,000 acres of mountain trails at Bluff Mountain Adventures and get a discount if you stay in one of their lodging facilities. At Big Rock Dude Ranch at Ponderosa you can take a one-hour ATV ride up the mountain, go horseback riding, take the kids to the petting zoo or gem mine. Smoky Mountain Deer Farm not only offers horseback riding but also has a wonderful exotic petting zoo. Kids and adults enjoy seeing animals up close and feeding them also. Waldens Creek Stable rides through 500 acres with trail rides and offers special packages and a phone call is suggested for times of operation and more details.

For more ground-based activities you can ride on Pigeon Forge’s newest attraction the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster where you can “ride the hill and feel the thrill”. Play miniature golf at Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf and Firehouse Golf, or “become a kid again” at the FunStop Family Action Park in Pigeon Forge, where you can enjoy a full day of family activities including thrill rides and go-karting.

Speaking of go-karting, Sevierville and Pigeon Forge have some of the best go-kart and fun centers in America. NASCAR Speedpark Smoky Mountains offers 24 rides and attractions and all-day admission is only $19.99. And The Track Family Fun Park in Pigeon Forge offers dozens of rides and you can pay for 2 rides and get one free! Adventure Raceway has a three-story, wooden track and bumper boats  Tracks are open most days and some nights, weather permitting


And last but not least, Sevierville Golf Club offers two, 18-hole courses, a driving range and a beautiful club house with food and beverages.
