MEL’S DINNER – A PIGEON FORGE TRADITION OF FOOD AND FUN

Mel’s Diner is a Pigeon Forge tradition for food and fun at a real American Diner. This is a true ’50’s diner experience with booths, a jukebox and classic American food. You can also see classic American cars and hot rods as the owners pull in for food, snacks and talking about cars.

Mel’s is an annual winner of Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence because the food is fresh, well prepared and served quickly by knowledgeable and caring waitresses who have worked at Mel’s for years. You can get breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts anytime at Mel’s. Breakfast basics include eggs anyway, omelette’s, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, french toast and several combo options.

You would expect to get great hamburgers and hot dogs and you won’t be disappointed with over 9 burger choices and a Big Dog and a Foot Long Doggie. But in addition to these classics you have a choice of a dozen different sandwiches including the Fabulous Thunderbird, which includes mesquite chicken, BBQ, Bacon and Cheese and the Elvis Country Club. You will say “Thank you, thank you very much” for this one.

If you are real hungry then try one of Betty Jo’s Home Cookin specials that come with two sides and Texas Toast. Try the Made-from-scratch meatloaf, country fried steak, pulled pork barbecue, chicken pot pie or Grandpappy’s Pot Roast. This is good old home cookin’ at it’s best!

But save room for dessert because Mel’s is famous for piled-high Sensational Sundaes and Homemade Cobbler, Hot Fudge Cake and Strawberry Shortcake, all served with ice cream. Then there are malts, milkshakes, Root beer and Pepsi Floats and the ginormous Ultimate 3 or 6 scoop Banana Split.
You will not leave hungry!

Mel’s also offers nostalgic merchandise and T-shirts that make great reminders of the fun time you had a Mel’s and your vacation in Pigeon Forge.
